Carol R Riley
Carol Ringe Riley, previously of Pocatello, passed away on October 19, 2023, in Heber City, UT at the age of 88.
Born June 19, 1935, in American Falls, ID to Leonard and Emma Lou Ringe, Carol lived there until she graduated from High School in 1953. After graduation she moved to California to attend school and later moved to Pocatello and worked for Idaho Typewriter Exchange (ITEX). She met George L Riley through a high school friend and they were married in 1956. They had two children, Robert and James. She worked at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church as the Secretary from the early 1970s until she retired in the 1990s. Carol was an active member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, a Cub Scout den mother, and a frequent golfer involved with the Ladies Golf Association. She also enjoyed skiing, traveling with George, and spending time with her family and friends.
Carol is survived by her sons, Robert (Lisa) of Houston, TX and James (Kelly) of Heber City, UT, Granddaughter Kelsey Apple (Trey), Grandson Patric Riley (Shana), two great-grandsons Kenneth Wayne Apple IV and Silas Bolton Riley, nieces Brenda Pace and Kathy Standley, and nephew Brian Blackwell. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband George, and her brother Fred Ringe. Services will be scheduled at a later date.
