Carolyn K. (Reese) Miller's Obituary
Carolyn K. (Reese) Miller age 82, passed away May 18, 2024, in Taylorsville, Utah. Two-time cancer survivor, she was unable to win a third battle and succumbed to Metastatic Pancreatic cancer. She was at home, surrounded by her loving family. She was born November 23, 1941, in Salt Lake City, Utah to Virginia and Lyle Reese. She married Frank Burningham August 8, 1964, later divorced. She married Richard Miller July 7, 1990, later divorced.
Carolyn was an avid reader, frequently completing 3-4 books per week. She remained active, using her elliptical, exercise bike and walking outside when weather allowed.
With a history of being known for her ethic of hard work, she found herself restless in retirement and returned to work part time at Costco doing product demonstrations until age 79, in 2020 when Covid forced layoffs. She then took up an old hobby of crocheting, completing 4 Afghans and multiple winter hats.
The family would like to thank, Huntsman home and hospice for the loving care of Carolyn and compassion for the family. With a special thank you to Nurse Trisha.
Carolyn is survived by Daughter: Stormie Nielson (Brad Garrison) Grandchildren: Paige Rivera (Nadia Rivera Espejel) Dylan Riedell (Kaycee Collins) Great Grandchildren: Isael, Isabella Espejel Dean, Jane and Kate Riedell Brothers: Jack and Kenneth Reese. Preceded in death by: Parents, Grandparents.
Celebration of life will be held on: Tuesday, May 28, 2024, from 4:00 – 6:00 pm with a viewing prior from 4:00 to 5:00 pm. At Premier Funeral Services: 67 East 8000 South Salt Lake City, Utah.
Please wear lavender, it is Carolyn’s favorite color.
Interment on: Wednesday, May 29, 2024, at 10:30 a.m. Mountain View Memorial Estates 3115 Bengal Blvd. Cottonwood Heights, Utah
