I met Carrie through duplicate bridge. Carrie was a great partner, friend, and person. She was a fierce competitor who was also a wonderful presence at the bridge table. She had a positive influence on the bridge community for well over half a century. She was grand lady at the table. She was one of my favorite partners. I will miss her greatly. As much as I will miss her I am sure her family will miss her much more. God bless Carrie and her family.

Dear Adrienne and Paul:
Carrie was such an important person in my younger years, and I’m so very sorry that she’s gone. She was confident, wise and intelligent, quick to laugh, bold in her convictions, and secure in her sense of self. I always marveled at her uncanny ability to get straight to the heart of any issue. She was a presence in the best sense of the word, and I was glad whenever I got to be with her. Those will always be happy memories.
I thank God that I have been touched by her life through you, Adrienne, my lifelong friend who has inherited and exhibits her very best qualities. Thanks to you both for sharing your Mom with me. Much love. XO

We loved Aunt Carrie and had some wonderful times together. She was always do supportive of me.
My mother and Aunt Carrie almost got picked up in an elevator in Acapulco. They had the best time.
They were best friends most of their lives.
We will miss her and we love her.
