Dear Lane,

We have lost track of you the last little while, and the address we have is no longer valid, I hope sharing here will be ok. Mark and extend our most heartfelt condolences to you and all of Catherine’s loved ones.

We felt it was a true blessing to serve and associate with both of you during your mission to Nashville. Catherine truly lit up the room with her lovely smile. She was an easy person to Iove, and had such a great sense of humor! She was always willing and eager to assist in any way. I guess I always felt like Catherine and I shared a special bond having been born in the same month and sharing our names. We pray for your sadness to be lightened by all of the happy memories you have and the knowledge of a joyful reunion someday.

Aunt Cathy was like a second mom to me and I have so many wonderful memories of and with her. She watched Morgan and I after school and made us many a snack and meal for sure, including the ‘orange lunches’. She taught me piano (also with much patience and gentleness). She taught me that when you make a mistake in a piece of music you don’t dwell on it, you play on—a great life lesson I recall and use still. She had the ability to break into an infectious laugh from silence, bringing bursts of joy to our family gatherings or any room I ever shared with her when she would giggle. She always brought warmth, compassion, genuine love and attention to the table and made you feel safe and loved. I miss her and love her. I hope I can bring the warmth and love to my family in similar ways that she did to our extended one.

Catherine was like a sister to my dear wife Nydia, who died just three weeks before her. When Nydia came to live with the Prince family at age 19, Catherine was always kind and loving to her, a fact I deeply appreciate. I am sure that they had a joyful reunion beyond the veil. What an extraordinary family, the Prince family! I know how Lane is suffering, and extend to him and family my condolences.

We were so sad to hear about Catherine, she always made you feel loved and would take the time to talk to you and was interested in what you were doing, she has the best smile, she's always been a favorite of mine, I remember when I was going through my Breast Cancer her and Rick stopped by to see me and stayed and visited with me, she was truly an Angel. she will be missed! sending our love and prayers to her family (my cousins) and children. Catherine is our dear friend and always will be!! We loved her gorgeous smile and her warm personality!! We were blessed to have her and Lane in our home often in Virginia. Catherine had a way of making everyone feel special. She just had so much love in her heart for everyone, young and old. She was so sweet and fun and we loved being around her.
We send our condolences to all her family and especially Lane.
May you all find comfort and peace during this difficult time. She'll be missed tremendously but never forgotten.
