Charlene passed away on March 3rd, 2025 at 85 years old. She had weekly Zoom meetings with family and was visited by her sons and a grandson during her final week. We are grateful for these final moments together with Mom. Charle Read Obituary
John and Charlene were stalwart members of our Greensburg Ward in Pennsylvania for many years. John did so much to grow my love of family history and Charlene was not only supportive but a pillar of the ward in her own right as organist and sometimes chorister. I still cherish the heartfelt card she wrote to me after the loss of my own sweet wife Kathryn in 2022.

Thank you for loving me, and for feeding me all those times. So thankful for you, and that you were able to meet my wife and family…and see that God was able to turn it all into good. Charlene impressed me as a thoughtful, intelligent and cheerful person. I enjoyed my visits with her. I look forward to visiting with you on the other side Charlene.😢
Charlene was a wonderful friend and neighbor of ours while she lived in Chipman Village and then in Bel Aire Senior Living in American Fork, Utah! We visited very regularly and realized we had a lot of things in common, having lived in many different places around the country! I met three of her sons and know that she loved them very much! The world lost a very special member when Charlene left us!
