Charlotte Batt Leany passed away peacefully in her Orem, Utah home on July 11, 2024. She was born on April 21, 1953, in Cedar City, Utah, to Chester and Edith Batt. Charlotte lived a life full of love, spunk, laughter, support, and service to her family. She would do anything for her children.
Charlotte married the love of her life, Kent Marion Leany, on December 7, 1973, creating a solid foundation for their family. She dedicated her life to being a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Her unwavering support and encouragement were the cornerstones of her family's success and happiness.
Charlotte is survived by her husband, Kent Marion Leany of Orem; her sons and daughters, Travis and Amie Leany of Orem, Nickolaus and Alexis Leany of American Fork, Lance and Ronnie Leany of Provo, and Saysha and Pedro Vazquez of Vineyard. She also leaves behind her beloved grandchildren: Adam Walker (24), Samantha Walker (23), Tristan Walker (22), Arcadia Leany (21), Malachi Leany (20), Jasmine Leany (19), Jackson Leany (19), Austin Leany (18), Ashton Walker (18), Berlin Leany (16), Dominic Vazquez (14), Brexli Leany (9), Harlo Leany (9), and Kane Leany (6).
She was preceded in death by her father, Chester; her mother, Edith; her grandson, Boston; and many more family members and friends. Despite their loss, the memories of Charlotte's kindness and generosity continue to inspire those who knew her.
In lieu of a traditional funeral, a celebration of life will be held in her honor. We invite all who knew and loved Charlotte to join us on July 27, 2024, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Sleepy Ridge (The Garden Room), 730 S Sleepy Ridge Dr, Orem, UT 84058. This gathering will be an opportunity to share memories, celebrate her life, and find solace in the company of those who also experienced her warmth and kindness.
Charlotte Batt Leany will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Her legacy of positive attributes, such as kindness and generosity, will live on in the hearts of those she touched. Her life was a testament to the power of love, family, laughter, and her memory will continue to inspire us all.
