Christopher George's Obituary
December 26th, 1970 to June 26th, 2026
Christopher was born the day after Christmas to Geraldine (Jeri) Copps and Rodney George. Chris was adventurous and charismatic; he loved all of his kids, was happily married to Shera George for 16 years and had many close friends who he considered family.
Chris was proud of his heritage and excitedly shared stories of his genealogy to anyone who would lend an ear. He had a special interest in history and world religion, and collected many books on the subjects. Chris considered himself a Thelemite, and was an ordained priest of Ecclesia Gnostica Catholica (EGC), was initiated into Ordo Templi Orientis in 2000, and became a member of the Rosicrucian Order (AMORC) in 2001. He enjoyed cigars soaked in brandy, music and tropical vacations. He had a special connection to his animals and enjoyed playing video games.
The struggles Christopher carried shaped many of his relationships in difficult ways. Those closest to Chris believe that he cared in the ways he knew how, however imperfectly expressed. We choose to remember him with gratitude for the gift of his children, his diligence in fostering close friendships, and with hope that he has found the peace that often eluded him in this life. Christopher was preceded in death by his father Rodney George, Stepfather Dean Burgess, Stepson Taven Speranza, and grandchild Dean Greenwald.
Chris is survived by Shera, his mother Geraldine (Jeri) Copps, sister Cheri Quigley, five children Cameron George (Mary), Kayla George, Zach Beaman, Caden Greenwald (Cheyenne), Bracn George, four grandchildren Hudson, Finnlee, Journey, Octavia, nieces and nephews, Katie, Dallas, Bailee, Cooper, Kiley, and Kaitlyn, as well as many uncles, aunts, cousins and friends.
A viewing will be held Monday, July 6th 2026 from 6-8 pm at Premier Funeral Services in Roy Utah. A celebration of life, requiem mass and greater feast will be held in his honor at a future date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are sincerely appreciated. Donations may be made through Venmo at @SheraGeorge
