Chris was a realtor at the Century 21 Golden West office on University Ave in Provo.
So I knew him professionally first and then became friends with him. This was back around 1978-1979-1980, somewhere there abouts.
Later he was the buyer of my first sale in real estate when he bought the old BYU Academy Women's Gym on the corner of 500 N University for $105,000.00, in 1979-1980, across the street from BYU Academy.
As a realtor Chris didnt really sell real estate much to clients seemingly, but instead he just seemed to buy real estate for his own portfolio.
Chris was also one of the regulars at the trading & exchange groups for real estate, where land, buildings, and houses were sold to their new owners using the barter system, seemingly so as to avoid having to pay taxes on the gain. He was pretty good at using this system and he seemed to enjoy the horse trading aspect of it.
I later lost track of Chris but as I drove by the old BYU Academy Women's Gym today I remembered Chris and looked him up and learned of his passing.
I am sorry for his families loss as he was a good man and I learned today that with his wife, he procreated quite an impressive line of descendants.
I hope heaven has been good to you Chris as you deserve it.
