Cindy Fay Campbell Stever's Obituary
Cindy Fay Campbell was born on July 29, 1954 in Sacramento, California to Irving S. Campbell and Betty Jo (Goodman). Cindy passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by her family after a long battle with cancer on December 27, 2023 in Orem, UT.
Growing up, Cindy enjoyed living in California on her parent’s ranch tending to animals and farming, while creating and making her own clothing at a young age. Cindy faithfully served a mission in Michigan for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
Cindy met Douglas Stever prior to their missions, wrote to each other during their missions, courted after their missions, and married each other on May 28, 1977 in Oakland, California. They had seven children and while Douglas worked outside the home, Cindy was able to stay home and raise their children. Cindy loved being a stay at home mom and tried hard to provide a spiritually safe and secure home for each of their children.
Cindy excelled at completing home projects, reading, sewing elaborate styled clothing for her family, assisting in her son’s scouting and Eagle projects, and perfecting her culinary skills. You would often find Cindy at the church serving in the kitchen during church activities and weddings. Along with raising her children, Cindy also raised parakeets, fish, chickens, ducks, goats, cats, dogs and anything else her children brought home. Cindy also had a love of crafting, collecting fabric, art supplies, ceramics, kitchen supplies, and books to satisfy her love of learning.
In her lifetime, Cindy had cruised to Mexico with her mother, siblings and their spouses, and later to Alaska with her husband Douglas. Cindy would often visit her grown children and grandchildren making memories. Cindy also worked on her own skills to create art in all forms, perfecting her voice, and learning more about where her family history came from. Cindy really did love to bring her own creativity into every situation.
Cindy is survived by her Aunt Sidney Franz, her Children: JoAnne (Phillip Sandoval), Cynthia (Trevor Silvester), Sean (Karen), Christopher, Aaron (Rashell), Matthew, and Joshua (Judy); Siblings with their spouses Steven (Cherrideth), (George Harmon), Paula, Connie (Earl Bair), Terri (Steve Mathis), Molly (Zande Johnston), and Casey (Donna); Grandchildren: (JoAnne) Gavin (spouse Brisa), Meagan, Sarah, Adam, and Emily, (Cynthia) Kaylie, Robert, and Joseph, (Sean) Abril and VeraLynn, (Aaron) Fynn, (Joshua) Éowyn; Great-Grandchildren: (Gavin) Dom, Damien; (Meagan) Lylah, Elyas, and many Nieces and Nephews. Cindy is preceded in death by her Husband Douglas Stever, Sister Carla (Harmon), Parents Irving S. Campbell and Betty Jo (Goodman), Aunts and Uncles, and her Grandparents.
