Claudia Morris Phelps' Obituary
Claudia Morris Phelps of Mapleton, Utah passed away on July 9, 2013 after a two-year struggle with cancer. Claudia was born in Brigham City, Utah on January 3, 1936 to Alvin Elliot Morris and Cecilia Bott Morris. She married Eldon Dean Phelps on September 14, 1956 in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple. Claudia was a devoted wife, mother and homemaker. She raised four sons in Seattle, Washington. She enjoyed gardening, oil painting, foreign languages, she had a real talent for singing with perfect pitch and she loved to spoil her grandchildren. She is survived by her husband Eldon Dean Phelps, sons and wives Mitchell and Jerri Lynn, Paul and Stephanie, Lionel, Craig and eighteen grandchildren and five great grandchildren, brothers and sisters Elliott Morris, Joan Foley and James dell Morris. Funeral services will be 11:00 am, Monday, July 15, 2013 at the Mapleton 4th Ward Chapel, 1316 So. Main Street, Mapleton, UT with a viewing one hour prior to services at the church. Interment at the Springville Evergreen Cemetery.
