Claudia Ann Ross' Obituary
Our Darling Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Sister, Aunt, & Dear Friend, Claudia Ann Ross returned to her heavenly home on January 4th 2023, leaving behind the beautiful earthly home, & life she and her adoring husband had created together.
Claudia was born April 11, 1946, to Dean and Rhea Robinson. She was the light of their lives, and an only child until she was ten years old. She was over the moon when her little sister Debbie was born. In her youth she was the star of many plays, her charismatic personality, expressive facial expressions, and lovely singing voice, made her a perfect leading lady.
Claudia was cheerful, full of life, quick witted, creative, easy to laughter, and had the most comforting, and loving nature. She made friends easily, & kept them throughout her entire life.
She met her sweetheart Kenneth Ross, they married for Time and all Eternity on December 2, 1965, in the LDS Salt Lake Temple. Five children soon followed. Their love and devotion to each other was, and will always be inspiring.
Claudia’s life was Christ centered. Her love of her Father in Heaven, husband, family, and fellowmen, were the focus of her life. She served in many callings in her ward, and served a two year compassionate service mission with her husband. She served in the Draper Temple for many years.
She was very artistic, her home was beautifully decorated, it was warm and inviting. She absolutely loved all the holidays, and always made everything festive and fun. She hosted many family gatherings, and get togethers. She was an amazing cook, she was always coming up with new delicious recipes. Claudia and Ken loved flowers, and gardening. The grandchildren called their backyard “the magical backyard”, it really was.
Claudia loved unconditionally, forgave without hesitation, and always left you feeling happier. If you visited with her, you were guaranteed laughter. She was a true joy, and loved by all. What a wonderful impression she made upon this world.
Claudia is survived by her beloved husband, Kenneth L Ross, children, Robin Ross (Linda), Heidi Norton, Tiffany Everett (Dustin), Eve Lakey (her cats), daughter-in-law Vicki, 18 cute, and crazy grandchildren, her sister Debbie Whittaker (Greg), and many nieces, and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents Dean, and Rhea Robinson, son, Adam Ross, and quite frankly, a whole bunch of other people.
A viewing will be held from 6pm-8pm January, Friday the 13th (Claudia would have loved this, her mother was the 13th child, and so it was her mother’s “lucky number”). It will be held in an LDS Church Building. 8735 S. Harvard Park Dr. Sandy, UT 84094.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 14th starting at 11am. There will also be a viewing prior to the funeral from 10-10:45am on the 14th. The funeral will be held at an LDS Church Meeting House, 8735 S Harvard Park Dr. Sandy, UT 84094. Graveside service following the funeral. Sandy City Cemetery 700E. 9000 S. Sandy, UT 84070. There will be a family luncheon directly following the graveside service at the same ward house, 8735 S Harvard Park Dr. There will be a link for virtual viewing that I will share when I have it. Funeral services provided by Premier Funeral Services.
