Clay Mulford Robinson's Obituary
Clay Mulford Robinson, age 92, left this world for the World of Tomorrow on March 23, 2013.
Clay, a journalist-writer, began his career with the Salt Lake Tribune in 1941. After four years in the Army Signal Corps, he resumed his writing career. He was an editor and writer-photographer for the Utah Farmer magazine; vice president of the Evans and Associates Advertising; editor-writer-photographer for the U & I Cultivator, American Fishes and U.S. Trout News, and other in-house journals.
Together with his wife Barbara Woodhouse Robinson, they built and managed A Tiny Wood Village manufactured housing park.
Clay was born to Ellis E. and Hattie Mulford Robison in the now-ghost town of Caineville, Utah on November 20, 1920. He grew up on a farm in Torrey, Utah. He graduated from Wayne County High School in 1938, and graduated from Utah State Agriculture College in 1942 with a degree in Journalism-English. He married Barbara Woodhouse, December 1941 and they remained happily together for more than 70 years. He is survived by his brother Max E. Robinson; his children – Jerry C. (Barbara B.) Robinson; KriSan (Gordan) Hardcastle; Dr. Kem E. (Sylvie) Robinson; Jani (Roy) Wall; and 19 grandchildren and 32 great-grand children.
Visitation: Thursday, March 28, 2013, 6:00 – 8:00 pm Jordan Oaks 5th Ward Chapel, 3760 West 9380 South, West Jordan, Utah, and again Friday March 29, 2013 from 10:00 – 10:45 am. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am under the direction of Bishop Richard Laxman.
