Reverend H. Jack Dunn
If there was ever anything I could say to someone who lost their father, it would be that I’m jealous.
I have witnessed over the years many who have had a relationship with a dad, and while I was one who didn’t, I lived through their joy vicariously observing – and learning from what they had…
I watched today, those who honored your dad, and I will add to his honor by letting those close to him know: the way you all remember him so fondly is truly a tribute to his greatness.
We may not travel the same paths as our parents, and we may not always agree with the ways they wanted us to be raised…
But through the rumble of American Steel, the gunpowder, and the smoke is a heart as big as Texas, yet soft as a Rose… and a man who became a patriot through the lessons and the love of an honorable man - who added just the right amount of steely strength, an yet a balance of softness… that made you who you are – to become the man that provides the safety to protect, and the softness to be the safe place to comfort your queen through this worlds trials.
Bryan and Sue, my heart and our prayers are extended to add our comfort through this time you honor, and remember Clyde Lamar Partridge.
God Bless…
Reverend Jack
