Colleen Hawes' Obituary
On the early morning of September 17, 2024 and with heavy hearts, family said their final goodbyes surrounding their beloved mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and friend Colleen Hawes, who joined her beloved husband in the kingdom of heaven at the age of 69.
Colleen was born on December 15, 1954 in Pocatello Idaho to Clifford and Myrna Hoskins. She attended Roy High School in Roy, Utah and later attained her GED. She met her husband Bruce in Ogden, Utah who she later married in Elko, Nevada on July 23rd, 1978. They were later sealed in the Ogden Temple.
Colleen worked hard to help provide for her family, eventually acquiring and maintaining her own cleaning company. Her attention to detail and creativity made her a talented Interior Designer and gifted problem solver. Colleen had a keen sense of design and appreciation for gemstones and all things whimsical. Colleen sought to bring beauty into her and her family’s lives and often found it in the most unexpected places. She was able to frame photos, accessorize her home with many natural wonders, and had a talent for knowing exactly where something fit best, provided the most, and was decisive enough to know where those items had greatest impact.
She is survived by her mother Myrna Hoskins, sons Kurt (Wendy) Foxley, Travis Hawes, and Daniel Hawes, daughter Crystal (Dave) Phillips, 4 sisters, a brother, 9 grandchildren, and 10 great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband and love of her life Bruce Hawes, father Clifford Hoskins, and brother Blaine Hoskins.
