Connie Clark Kalm's Obituary
In Loving Memory of Connie Clark Kalm
June 6, 1940 – October 18, 2025
Our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, Connie Clark Kalm, passed
away peacefully at home on October 18, 2025, at the age of 85.
Connie was born on June 6, 1940, in Lehi, Utah, to Marjorie Monitah McBride and Arley Roy
Clark. She grew up in a loving home with her older sister Carma and graduated from East High
School. Connie went on to build a successful career as an executive secretary with Zions bank,
where she was admired for her professionalism, dedication, organization, and grace.
She first married Gerald Fred Macke, with whom she had two sons, and later divorced. Connie
found the love of her life with Neil Roger Kalm. They were married on December 1, 1968, and
later sealed for time and all eternity in the Salt Lake City Temple on December 2, 1975.
Together, they had one daughter. No love was greater in her heart than her love for her children.
Connie had a special way of making people feel cherished. She had a passion for dolls, crafts,
cooking her signature meals, and hosting—especially during the holidays. Her creativity and
thoughtfulness brought joy to countless gatherings and helped create lasting traditions that her
family will treasure forever.
She was also known for her love of shopping and her soft spot for cats—especially for her
amazing companion Lexie, who stayed by her side until the end. She loved going to the Senior
Center for craft class and the lifelong friendships that were made there, always bringing a bit of
sparkle and warmth wherever she went. Above all, Connie was a devoted mother, grandmother,
great-grandmother, and a true matriarch whose love and influence will be deeply missed but
never forgotten.
We are grateful for every moment we had with her, and while our hearts ache, we find peace
knowing she is now reunited with loved ones who went before.
Preceded in death by husband Neil Roger Kalm she is survived by her son, John Fred Macke
(Beverly); son, Bryan Karl Macke; daughter, Lisa Woodruff (Peter); and her seven grandchildren
and nine great-grandchildren. Nothing meant more to her than her family.
Services for Connie’s life will be held on October 25, 2025, with a viewing from 11:00 a.m. to
