The news of Craig's passing was a blow to me. I last saw Craig in August 2023 when a road trip took me through Ogden. He described some long term medical issues that he had been dealing with, but he was tackling them as he did with all challenges. Craig and I literally grew up together living just two doors apart. Craig was quite the sportsman, and I joined him and his brothers Bruce, Mims and Curt (sister Amy usually stayed behind) to engage in all of them -- flying model airplanes, skiing, golfing, trap shooting and duck hunting. We'd see one another every day at school or afterwards. After his Peace Corps experience, Craig went back to Utah, and I settled in Colorado. On summer road trips I'd often take detours through Ogden to see Craig and catch up. He was a best friend and will be dearly missed. Bruce McCrea

I'm sorry I didn't get to know Craig Nevertheless, I want Byron and the rest of the family to know how sorry I am for your loss. Just knowing Byron, I can tell that he was a good man, well educated, and enjoyed many talents.

During the brief time I worked at Weber County, I immediately hit it off with Craig. I found myself often making trips to his corner office to inquire about one thing or another, because there was almost nothing he hadn't seen or done and his insight was often prescient. He even taught me how to swing all manner of golf clubs at Mulligan's. Just one of the most generous, patient, and interesting people I've ever had the pleasure of meeting. Rest in peace, my friend.

I rember all the good times and the rondavous I spent alot of time with the family growing up I loved Craig he was so much fun to be around he loved everyone he was close to and his boys was his life gone but not forgotten. You will be missed terribly. Love Edna johnson.
