Curt John Pete Vinanti passed away unexpectedly on May 11, 2026, atthe age of 36. He was born on February 6, 1990, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Valerie Sandoval and John Pete Vinanti. Curt grew up in West Valley City, West Jordan, and Magna, where he built lifelong friendships and became known for his generous heart and caring spirit.
Curt was the greatest joy to his aunts and grandmother and brought light and laughter wherever he went. He was the kind of person who would drop everything to help a friend in need. His heart of gold and selfless nature touched countless lives, and he will always be remembered for his kindness, loyalty, and ability to make others feel loved and supported.
Curt loved fashion and always made sure he looked his best, often asking family and friends for advice on what outfit to wear. He loved getting lost in a good book and
music was his greatest joy. One of his greatest joys in life was spending time with children. He especially cherished his nephew Bowie, whom he helped raise and loved deeply. His nephews and nieces held a very special place in his heart, and he treasured every moment spent with them. Curt also deeply valued his friendships and considered many of his friends to be family.
Curt is survived by his mother, Valerie Sandoval; grandmother, Susan Sandoval; grandfather, Eugene Sandoval; aunts Gina Sandoval, Suellen Sandoval (Mikell Brown), and Stacy Howard; brother Terrance “TJ”; sister Sachida “Sasha”; nephews Bowie and Oliver; nieces Calliope and Oakleigh; cousin Elijah; bonus sister Saydee; and many loving friends and extended family members.
He was preceded in death by his father, John Pete Vinanti; grandmother, Viola Vinanti; grandfather, Wally Vinanti; and uncle, Troy Suarez.
Curt’s love, laughter, and compassionate spirit will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. He will be deeply missed and never forgotten.
