Cynthia Tayag Lacsina's Obituary
Cynthia Tayag Lacsina was born on the 5th of January 1963 in Dau, Mabalacat City, Philippines and passed away peacefully, surrounded by friends and family in Layton, Utah on the 26th of February 2025. She grew up in the Philippines and spent time traveling across Europe and Asia in her early 30s. She migrated to the United States in 2002 and worked as a med/tech and caregiver for over 20 years.
She is predeceased by her parents, Carlos Lacsina Sr. and Teodora Lacsina as well as her older brother, Carlos Lacsina Jr. In addition to her daughter Janelle, she is survived by her 5 siblings, Cesar, Carolina, Carmelito, Carmen and Christopher along with her nieces, nephews, and grandchildren as well as her beloved cat, Ollie.
Cynthia loved to laugh, sing, dance, explore, and spend time with friends and family. Her fighting spirit and incredible strength endured throughout her treatment for breast cancer (2015) and endometrial cancer (2024). Up until her passing, Cynthia always thought of others around her and was always wanting to bring laughter to every situation.
