It’s hard to express how much I admired and loved this kind wonderful man. He’s been a big part of my life since I was very young and he married my older sister, Karma. He was fun and adventuresome. He had a remarkable sense of humor. He had a strong devotion to family and I was so grateful he was my family. He was always there to help and support everyone in any way he could. He and Karma have helped me and my family countless times.
Since my sister’s death, we have kept in touch by phone calls several times a month. We talked about anything and everything, and always had so many laughs. I was blessed to have one of those conversations with him just a few days before he passed away. I will treasure that memory in my heart forever, as well as the loving hugs we shared when I saw him in July.
I will miss him SO much. ❤️❤️❤️

When my sister Karma married Andy, (known as Dick back then) Little did I know how much of a positive influence he would be on my life. I was a rebellious young man of 12 years and Andy offered me a job at "Andy's Handy Texaco" after school selling Ice.
Andy taught me a work ethic through making me redo what was not up to his standards, giving me a desire to care enough to try my best. This has been a positive influence throughout my life.
At the age of 15 my father died and Andy, (at the age of 25) filled the gap in a very positive way. We became best friends and had many exciting adventures together, including him letting me drive his 145 hydroplane for the second heat of a lot of boat races.
Andy took the time to teach me auto mechanic skills among other things while he employed me at the Service Station.
At 17 we parted ways as I joined the service and ended up staying in San Diego when I got discharged.
A lot happened in between that time and when my dear sister Karma died in 2019.
We started to rekindle our friendship after she died and ended up being very good friends again, creating a relationship that I am very grateful for.
I will miss our lunches and phone conversations. He is one of the best men I've met in my convoluted life and I look forward to seeing him again when I croak.
