Danere Nicole Truax's Obituary
Our beautiful daughter and irreplaceable sister Danere Nicole Truax passed away peacefully on Dec.9,2010. Danere was born April 16, 1982 in Salt Lake City, Utah. She was one of two children born to Jody and Denise Truax. Danere was only 28 years old and in the past year she had been fighting hard against breast cancer, yet she wasn't going to give it an inch. Her last days were spent in Utah with her loving family by her side and a view of the beautiful snow that she was so excited to see right outside her window. Prior to coming home to Utah, Danere had been living in the city of Orange in Orange County, California. She was a determined student attending Cypress College, working towards a career in human services. She loved seeing and being with her friends and teachers at Cypress. She wanted to truly make a difference in world for others.Thank you so much to Mr. Adams, one of Danere's closest teachers who she admired and who is now going to set up a perpetual scholarship fund in Danere's name. Danere also loved and enjoyed her doctors and nurses at St.Joseph's Cancer Center, where everyone treated her as if she were one of their own. We can not thank all of you enough; Stacey, Barb, Joanne, Carrie and many others. We also would like to thank our family members for the love and support, and special thanks to Dave and Michele for opening their home to Danere this last year. Danere's wish other than to be at home was to travel. We were able to have a lot of great times together as a family and make unforgettable memories this year. Danere loved life and was ecstatic about going to San Francisco with mom for a girls trip, Alaska for the Hoka Hey Ride and finally in Las Vegas for an awesome Thanksgiving with family. We will be sharing our future travels with her and will spread her ashes in many places around the world, but yet still keeping a special place for her here at home with her family. We invite family and friends to celebrate and share in Danere's life at her memorials; We will be having a remembrance/memorial open house in our home Friday night from 5-7pm at 7459 Cottonwood St. Midvale, Utah. There will be a remembrance/memorial in Cal. at West Cypress Church 5471 Cerritos Ave. Cypress,Cal on Dec. 22, 2010 at 3:00 pm. Special thanks go to the wonderful angels at Harmony Hospice, Tammy you are such a unique and wonderful spirited woman, you truly touched us with your strength and care. Vickie, Danere said it the best, "you are the most awesome", your help in getting us back home in time and then introducing us to Harmony Hospice, there are no words, we love you. Danere was happy to spend her last year so close to her friends and family in California, your love to her and sharing yourselves made Danere feel so loved and helped to push her to stay so strong. Danere, you loved the idea of getting in the car and going for a road trip, driving until you felt like stopping, exploring the unknown and paving your own way. We know you are on a road trip now and that at some point we will all meet again, this we know for sure. And until that day we will remember the great things you accomplished and the way that you touched peoples lives. We so miss you terribly and will love you from the depths of our hearts for ever in time, with all of our hearts love momma, dad and Chad. In lieu of flowers we request that donations be made to the following groups, they were most helpful to Danere; breastcancerangels.org breastcancersolutions.org ww5komen.org contact Mr.Adams as per scholarship fund
