Daniel "Danny" Robert Foltz's Obituary
Daniel Robert Foltz, 48, of Lehi, Utah passed away peacefully in his home on Satuday, January 28, 2023, surrounded by his wife of 25 years, Leslie Elizabeth Kump Foltz, and his loving family, due to natural causes. Danny fought valiantly to the end.
Danny was born on January 12, 1975, in Hawthorne California to Claudia Lynn Schneider and Robert Joseph Foltz. Being the 3rd oldest of 4 children. He meets his soulmate Leslie Elizabeth Kump Foltz through his best friend, Denny Denhalter. Daniel and Leslie married on June 3, 1997, in Yorba Linda, California. Then in 2005 Daniel and Leslie were sealed for time and all eternity on June 3, in the Mount Timpanogos Temple.
Lived together in North Hollywood and then moved to Anaheim to be closer to Leslie’s family. Daniel was a successful car salesman who supported his family through everything.
He was an avid baseball fan. His grandpa took him to his first Angels baseball game at the age of 8, starting him as a lifelong fan. Daniel was a part of little leagues growing up, to learn the game and become good at it. He understood everything there was to know about the game and supported his team through thick and thin. He collected memorabilia to allow others to see his love for the game visually. He loved baseball and would talk to whoever would listen. He could talk for hours about the game.
Moved to Utah in January of 2004 to be closer to Leslie's family; again, Daniel and Leslie lived in apartments, while trying his hand at car sales in Utah soon realizing it was a different ballpark. He had many different jobs in Utah. His favorite job while living here in Utah was his job at Ancestry. He loved genealogy because it connected him to his family that he never knew. Leading Dan to meet new family members that lived in Pennsylvania and Arizona.
They built their family home. They moved into the current home where the family currently resides since January 2007.
Daniel was a killer at sales and made a living doing that until ultimately his health problems caught up with him, permanently disabling him in 2020 while the rest of the world was locking down. While limiting his mobility as his health declined. Danny was able to take much-needed rest and time. He spent his final years supporting his family and being a key player in their lives. Daniel was a person his children and wife could turn to while living it up with his dogs, Ela and Vader.
Danny loved the Gospel of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Danny loves his children and his wife fiercely.
Danny is survived by his loving wife, of 25 years, Leslie Elizabeth Kump, and his four children, Samuel Robert, Elizabeth Lucille, Benjamin Roman, and Abigail Caroline. Also, mother-in-law, sister-in-laws, brothers-in-law, many nephews, nieces, Aunts, and uncles. Danny was preceded in death by Jerry L. Kump (father-in-law), Eldon Maughan (wife’s grandpa), Madison Kump (niece), Natalie Kump (niece), Dennie Denhalter (childhood best friend), Claudia (Lynn) Schneider (mom), Robert Schneider (Grandpa), Florence Greenwood (Grandma), Arlington Foltz (grandpa), and Catherine Miller (grandma).
