Daniel Guzman's Obituary
Daniel Guzman, beloved father, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin and friend passed away at the young age of 52 on May 7, 2025. He was born on April 11, 1973, in Glendale California, to Alfonso and Maria Guzman.
Daniels pride and joy is his son Gabriel. Daniel loved to spend time with Gabriel whether it was going for drives in the canyons of Utah, chilling at home, or traveling to California to be with family. His favorite thing to do was watch Gabriel play soccer and football games.
Daniel is the fourth of five children and the only son. Letty (John) De Santiago, Josie (Dusan) Mitrovic, Belen (deceased) (Hector) Monteroso, and Helen Guzman. He is the proud uncle of 9 nieces and nephews, Johnathan De Santiago, Jason De Santiago, Desiree De Santiago, Justin De Santiago, Ryan De Santiago, Scarlett Mitrovic, Janelle Monteroso, Ashley Monteroso, and Nathan Guzman.
Quiet, gentle, optimistic, and loving are a few of the words that describe who Daniel was as a brother. He loved spending time with each of his sisters together and individually. He bugged them to their core, but that is how they knew that he loved them.
Daniels faith in God held a special place in his heart. Daniel was part of the Royal Rangers which focuses on Christian values and teaches how to grow closer to God and was shortly baptized during his teen years. He was excited when he was able to play the drums in church and continued to have Jesus as the center of his life.
He moved to Utah in 1998, where he found his 2nd home state. He started working at the airport doing security for Argenbright, Huntleigh and then TSA. He did that for 25 years and was proud to do the job to its fullest.
Outside of work he enjoyed spending time with family and friends as often as he could. He especially enjoyed going out to eat and catching up on the latest news with everyone. Daniel’s favorite place was on any beach and enjoyed quiet walks listening to the sounds around him. Now he is walking in the clouds with Jesus.
He is proceeded in death by Alfonso Guzman (father), Maria Guzman (mother), Belen Monteroso (sister).
