Daniel Kenneth McCollum's Obituary
Daniel Kenneth McCollum, age 44, was born on January 6, 1978, in Boise, Idaho, and passed away on March 17, 2022, in Utah. His parents are Ken McCollum (Jana) of Farr West, Utah and Joan Lewis McCollum of North Ogden, Utah.
Daniel grew up in Boise, Preston, Idaho and North Ogden, Utah. He attended Weber High in Pleasant View. Daniel was an Eagle Scout and enjoyed bike riding, snowboarding and soccer as a youth. Some of his current hobbies included hiking and going to the gym.
Daniel married Amber Tompkins (deceased) in 1999 and they were the proud parents of three girls and one boy: Madysen, Baylee, Paytin and Cooper McCollum. Both parents loved their children very much. Daniel then married Tammy Waddoups and they were later divorced.
Daniel is also survived by his father Ken, his mother Joan, and his sisters Kristine (Shawn) Potokar, Sarah (Nick) Machin, Rachel (Cameron) Butterfield and a brother David McCollum. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Daniel was kind, generous, charismatic, and hard working. He worked as an automotive salesman for most of his adult life for various dealerships. He had a silver tongue and could sell water to a fish.
Daniel will be laid to rest at the Ben Lomond Cemetery in North Ogden next to his deceased sister, Amy McCollum Stoffers, at a private family service at a later date.
