Daniel "Danny Joe" Young's Obituary
Daniel "Danny Joe" Young, born in Gary, Indiana in 1954 to Ronald Young and Sandra McMillan, passed away at home in Salt Lake City, Utah on January 3, 2025, after a long and courageous battle with Parkinson's disease.
Known for his warmth, sense of humor, and outgoing nature, Daniel was the owner of a successful insurance agency for much of his adult life. He loved to talk and was always ready to strike up a conversation with anyone. A passionate Utah Jazz fan, he proudly cheered for his team.
Daniel adored his grandchildren and cherished every moment spent with them. He was a devoted husband to Soraya and a proud father to his children Jason, Ryan and Christian, as well as stepchildren Ely, Edwin, and Susanna. Daniel was preceded in death by his beloved son Jason. He will be remembered for his kindness, laughter, love of basketball, and the positive impact he had on all who knew him.
