Dantzelle Condie Call Maynard
1927 - 2017
Our beloved mother, grandmother and friend passed away April 8, 2017 in Magna Utah of natural causes relating to age.
Dantzelle was born January 10, 1927, in Mesa, Arizona. She was the daughter of Cyril Alfred Call and Abigail Tucker Condie.
Married Steven Lee Black and had children Audrey Jean, Steven Francis, Karen Gail, Merrill Durant, Julianne, and Elizabeth Black. Dantzelle later divorced, then married Robert William Maynard.
Dantzelle had a love for Music. She played the piano, organ, & led choirs. She earned a Master Degree in English and excelled at poetry.
Dantzelle was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She lived it, loved it, shared it, and taught it, faithfully all her life. She served as a gospel doctrine teacher for 27 years. Her home was a haven for the gospel.
Dantzelle is preceded in death by her husband, parents, a brother and two sisters, her son Steven Francis Black and daughter Julianne Black.
She is survived by her children Audrey (Roger) Condit, Cedar Edge, CO; Karen (Dean) Hunter, Magna, UT; Merrill (Shelley) Black, Salem, UT; Elizabeth (Ross) Stewart, Arlington, TX. And daughter-in-law, Nina Black Modesto, CA. 33 grandchildren and many great grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be Saturday, April 15 at 10:30 AM at the Lake Ridge 9th Ward LDS Chapel located at 7825 West Sharon Drive, Magna, Utah. A viewing will be held prior to services from 9:30-10:15 AM. Interment will follow at the Spanish Fork Cemetery.
