Darin Kenneth Ellison, 58, passed away April 3, 2024 in the Intermountain Hospital in Murray, Utah surrounded by his family. Darin was the 4th of 5 children born to Donald and Joan (Ewell) Ellison on May 9, 1965 in Provo, Utah. He spent his childhood growing up in Orem, Utah.
Darin loved fishing, camping, and barbecuing. He was also a fun loving person who enjoyed teasing others and playing pranks on his family and friends. He was also very handy and loved spending time woodworking, building things and making knives.
Darin was a veteran. He served as an Army E4 Specialist in the United States military. For his career, he worked as a union worker in various capacities. He was a hard worker and a dependable employee.
Darin is survived by his mother Joan Ewell Ellison, children Meranda Hansen, Chelsea (Derik) Hoagland, Cody (Tyona) Ellison, Taylor (Shyann) Hundley, Conner (Blake) Ellison, Mckayla Ellison, and his siblings Joylee (Dan) Johnson, Sherri (Jeff) Robinson, and Jason Ellison. He also had nine grandchildren; Rachel Hansen, Aria Hansen, Graysea Hoagland, Macklynn Hoagland, Kaydence Ellison, Dean Ellison, Samual Ellison, Kaizlynn Wilkinson, and Harlow Hundley.
Darin is preceded in death by his father Donald Ellison, his sister Cindy Ellison and his grandparents .
Family members are invited to attend services to honor Darin which will be held on Friday, May 17th at 11:00 AM at Utah Veterans Cemetery and Memorial Park, 17111 South Redwood Road, Bluffdale, Utah.
Following the services, family and friends are invited to a potluck dinner that will be held at Nelson’s Grove Park, 1931 South Sandhill Road, Orem, Utah.
