Darlene Minda Loosli Dangerfield Wilkins' Obituary
Darlene Loosli Dangerfield Wilkins, 90, died Nov. 5, 2020 incident to old age. Born Dec. 14, 1929 to E. Keith and Hortense C. Loosli in Ogden, Utah. She grew up in the Salt Lake avenues and graduated from East High School at 16. She worked for the Presiding Bishopric’s Office before marrying her sweetheart Clarence Junior Dangerfield April 14, 1950 in the Salt Lake Temple. They had eight children. Clarence passed away Sept. 16, 1966 leaving her a widow at the age of 36 to finish raising her children alone. Always kind and considerate of others, she was generous with her “widow’s mite”. She was well loved and admired by her family, friends and all who knew her. She worked in the corporate offices of the Skaggs Alpha-Beta stores for several years and a few years for SCORE. An active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints she was a gifted pianist and ward organist for 70 years. On May 25, 1996 she married Jerry Max Wilkins and lived in St. George, Utah. Jerry passed away Dec. 9, 2011. She moved to Sandy, Utah, and then to South Jordan to be near the majority of her family. She is survived by her two brothers—Garth Loosli and Mark (Linda) Loosli and one sister, Linda (Duane) Smith; Also, her eight children—Sandy (Chris) Hart, Clyde (Carol) Dangerfield, Keith Dangerfield, Craig (Joanne) Dangerfield, Karen (Dane) Ruddy, Garth (Noni) Dangerfield, Diane (James) Kilpack and Lori Capson; and her 30 grandchildren and 57 great-grandchildren. There will be a graveside service Saturday, Nov. 14, 2020 at 1:00 pm at the Memorial Holladay Cemetery, 4900 S. Memory Lane, Salt Lake City, Utah. Face masks encouraged.
