Darren Garth Douglas' Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Darren Garth Douglas, age 54. Darren passed away on August 18,2023 at McKay Dee Hospital in Ogden UT. He was born September 9, 1968, to Garth and Elaine Douglas. Darren grew up in Hooper Utah along with his 4 siblings Kimberly, Diana, Michael and Michelle. He attended Roy High School, graduating in 1986.
On June 29, 1991, Darren Married the love of his life Marylynne Flanary. They had 3 children that he loved dearly. Cody Douglas, Colton Douglas and Bailey Douglas. He loved spending time with his children. Coaching their sports teams, camping and fishing with them. He had many hobbies, and his favorites were fishing, golfing, camping, cooking and watching his favorite sports teams. He was a lifelong LA Dodgers, LA Rams and Utah Jazz fan. We always knew when there was a game on by the shouts coming from Darren. He loved spending time with his wife, children, parents, siblings, nieces, nephews and cousins. He really enjoyed seeing his great nieces and nephews and loved all of the little ones.
Darren worked for over 30 years for Roy City, retiring in 2016. After his retirement Darren and Marylynne spent their time traveling in their RV. Spending the summer months at his parents' property near Lava Hot Springs ID and journeying to St George UT and Parker AZ in the winter.
Darren is survived by his wife Marylynne. Children, Cody, Colton and Bailey Douglas. Parents Garth and Elaine Douglas. Father-in-law Paul Flanary. Siblings Kimberly (Terry) Luthy, Diana (Bruce) Lemieux and Michael (Tiffany) Douglas and many nieces and nephews.
Darren is proceeded in death by his sister Michelle, Mother-in-law Marilyn Flanary, Brother-in-law Kim Flanary and his grandparents Norman and Dorthea Douglas and Sherman and Maxine Moorhead.
