Darryl Eugene Cowan's Obituary
Darryl Eugene Cowan died on Sunday, October 10th. Darryl was born in Pasadena, California on November 28, 1963: the fourth child of Ronald & Donella Cowan.
Despite a brain injury that he incurred as a youth (which impeded his ability to learn and retain information) as well as a leg injury that made it difficult for him to get around, Darryl stayed optimistic in life. Darryl loved KLOVE radio, Neil Diamond’s music, telling jokes, and Jesus Christ. “Praise Jesus” was a common daily phrase for Darryl in his conversations with others. If you were fortunate to be on Darryl’s calling list, you could count on hearing from him almost daily, and if you didn’t answer the first time, he persisted with calls and voice messages until he connected with you.
Darryl is survived by his siblings Nancy Fraser, Kristine Halsted, Larry Cown and Kimberly Cowan. Darryl was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers: Brian and David.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, October 17, 2021 at 4:30 pm. Mountain Standard Time at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints building located at 4056 Timpview Drive, Provo, UT 84604.
