Davada Ray Drake's Obituary
Davada Ray Meigs Drake passed away March 26, 2017, in Provo, UT, from cardiac arrest.
Davada was born in Fallon, NV, on October 31,1975 to Dawn Rogers King and Howard King. Later in her life her mother married David Meigs, who adopted Davada and her sister Leeann. Davada graduated from Kamiakin High School in Kennewick, WA in 1993.
She married Nathan Drake in 1997, celebrating their twentieth anniversary this year. Davada and Nathan have a son, Nathan, Jr. Davada is an avid reader, loves movies and collecting memorabilia, and is the biggest teaser ever. We have so many fond and funny memories to share about Davada. Her little Dachshund, Bun Bun was her constant companion. Davada's greatest love of her life is Nathan, her husband, and her greatest source of pride is Nathan, Jr., her son. She is a devoted wife and mother. Davada was preceded in death by her mother, Dawn Rogers-Allen, in 2014, whom she missed very much.
Davada is survived by her husband Nathan Drake, her son Nathan Drake Jr., her fathers David Miegs and Howard King, her sister Leeann Meigs Robinson, her brothers Jonathan Meigs, Raymond King and James King, her grandparents Roy and Dean Rogers, her nieces Erin Anderson and Shyla Drake, her nephews William Anderson, Ramsey Drake and Rayden Drake, brother-in-laws Jeremiah Drake, Seth Drake and Shane Drake, her mother-in-law Deb Drake and other family members.
Davada is loved by many people, but none more than by her husband and son. Although we all miss her presence physically with us, we know she is near spiritually. We shed tears of sorrow for our temporary loss, but we shed tears of joy for her new-found freedom from the pain she suffered for so many years from severe arthritis, back pain and other health problems, and the restraints on her life caused by that pain. We can imagine her running, dancing and laughing with glee, and loving being with her mom again. We all wait for the joyous day we will be reunited with our beloved Davada and know she's watching over us. We, her family, wish to thank all for your outpouring of love and support during this difficult time.
Private memorials will be held in Fallon, NV and American Fork, UT
