Sister Bouwhuis, My name is Doug Williams. When your husband was on his mission and left Alberta for British Columbia, I was a new missionary and filled his vacancy in Hinton, Alberta, in the tent that he and Elder Merrill set up. I spent the next 8 months there and had great success on the work he started. He baptized Charlie and Lottie Daughton and I baptized their two children. Charlie and Lottie remained faithful throughout their lives and both have now passed on. I was able to speak at Lottie's funeral this past spring. I wish we could have met and little did I know that you had been living for so many years in Clearfield and I in Kaysville. Just wanted you to know that Elder Bouwhuis was never forgotten in Western Canada and was loved by the Daughtons. You two have had a wonderful life together. Doug Williams [email protected]
