David Bradley Butler's Obituary
"Brad" David Bradley Butler,56 years old, of Roy, Utah, received his angel wings on July 13th, 2023 after a very strong and hard fought battle with cancer, peacefully and surrounded by his family and loved ones.
Brad was born on June 19th, 1967 to Delbert W. Butler and Fidella Chapelle Tew in Ogden, Utah.
His early life wasn't the easiest, he had his fair share of struggles and battles throughout most of his adult life. Those who knew him, knew that any hardship or struggle he had throughout any point of his life never made him bitter or had any negative effect on how big of a heart he had and how much he loved being able to help and be there for anyone that was important to him.
Over the past 7 years, his struggles and battles finally came to end and he was able to enjoy life to the fullest and did more than make the most of it. He made the choice to turn his life completely around in order to be there for his children and grandchildren and then eventually his wife, which he did at an unbelievable pace. He went from starting with nothing but family and determination to buying a Harley, and then a truck, and finally his first ever house which he and his family and friends were so proud of him achieving.
Brad took joy in so many things over these last 7 years, a lot of those things were things that he never had the opportunity to experience or enjoy before turning his life around. One of the biggest things that he was new to caring about and ended up absolutely loving was holiday times. He took a lot of pride and had a lot of joy in being able to put together a huge firework show for the family every 4th of July, and more important to him were Thanksgiving and Christmas, again with both of those it made him incredibly happy to see the family together laughing, smiling, and making memories. There were very few things that made him happier than being able to make his family happy during the holidays. Some other things that brought him joy was riding and collecting motorcycles (specifically Harley's), his job selling car service which he has been doing for the last 5 years and made great friendships with people that started as customers at his work, taking his camper up into the mountains during the summer time to spend as much time with his family making memories in nature and having fun talking and singing around the campfire. There were a ton of other things that brought him joy but these are just some of the biggest ones that made him the happiest.
Brad is survived by his wife J'Taun Butler, his children Brian Butler and his wife LeeAnna Butler, Ashlee Bailey and her husband Brad Bailey, step children Meaghan Long, Bryant Long, Devan Martinez, as well as his grandchildren Alauna & Fame Butler and Kynidee & Boston Bailey. He is also survived by his siblings Brian Jolley, Anita Uden, Terri Birks and his many nieces and nephews. Last but not least, his favorite child of all that never caused him a single headache or a moment of stress, his fur-baby Harley Butler.
