My memories of David go back about 30 years ago. My Dad (Larry Holmes) had lost his job, and he David had decided to start a business venture together. We had just moved from out of state and because my dad wasn’t working we ended up moving in with David and his (then) wife. It wasn't a perfect solution, and it was stressful, but he put a roof over our head and we appreciated that kindness.
David loved to talk about his accomplishments, and he had convinced me that he was a great photographer. My family didn’t have a lot so I asked him to take the pictures at my wedding (26yrs ago). He generously said he would do it just for the cost of the film (35mm at the time) … well …. We got our photos back, and discovered he was a little more amateur than he projected himself to be😂 but that was David! He wanted to be bigger than life, and better than his limitations would allow… but he was generous and kind and I guess we at least saved a bunch of money on our photos😆.
David had a big heart and he did a lot for my family and I thank him for that.
I’m sorry for your loss… ❤️
