David Charles Carroll

West Jordan, Utah
Passed away peacefully of natural causes at age 65, in his home with family. Born in Murray, Utah, he was the 4th of 6 children to parents James Orville Carroll and Isabelle Faye Hales Carroll.
Survived by his wife Denise Wood Carroll, his eternal sweetheart; sister Jerri Carroll; 4-children: Wes Robert Dixon (Vicky, Joanna), Kenneth Dixon (Shannon), Serena Dunn (Nathan dec’d), Randall Carroll; 7-step children: Jeremy Hill (Darcy), Dana Hill dec’d, Aric Hill (Kyle), Shuri Hill dec’d, Tyler Hill (Sarah), Laura Hill (Susan), Nathaniel Hill (Jennifer); 30-grandchildren, and 8-great grandchildren.
Preceded in death by his parents and siblings: Sunny Carroll, Barry Carroll (Susan, living), Chrysanne Newman (Roy, living), and Victoria Carroll.
He was a Murray High School graduate (1975), part of the University of Utah Swim Team (1976). He served an LDS Mission (1977) in Oakland California. Graduated from Salt Lake Community College in 1980 with a Computer Science degree.
Married Lori Ann Pederson 12 December 1981 (Divorced).
Married Denise Wood 12 April 1994
David was an expert Programmer, Systems Analyst and Project Manager throughout his long business career.
David enjoyed playing video games, watching movies, reading sci-fi novels, helping in the garden and he was an excellent cook. He loved boating, camping, off-road driving and traveling to visit out of state family and visiting national parks.
David also enjoyed providing help and service to anyone in need. He was active in his LDS ward and was a High Priest. He held various church postings including the Branch Presidency, Ward Clerk and teaching positions.
David was a great father, step-father and loving grandfather.

Internment will take place following the memorial service at approximately 2PM at Valley View Cemetery: 4335 W 4100 S, West Valley City, UT 84120.
