David Alan Corrigan's Obituary
On April 26, 2024, David Alan Corrigan, 63, of West Jordan, Utah passed away peacefully with his beloved wife Denise by his side. David courageously battled his cancer diagnosis for over five years. His children were grateful to be by his side in his final hours.
David was born on March 9, 1961, to James and Donna Corrigan in Glendale, California. He enjoyed growing up in Arcadia California with his three siblings. After graduating from high school, David faithfully served a two-year mission in Kaohsiung, Taiwan, for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
November 3, 1990, David and Denise were sealed for time and all eternity in the Idaho Falls Temple. David loved his children and enjoyed spending time with them whether it be fishing, swimming, skiing, or shooting. He frequently boasted of his children’s achievements and abilities, showcasing them proudly. The family remained in West Jordan for the last 28 years, where David enjoyed serving among friends and family. He found great joy in serving within his church. He dedicated many hours to serving on the high council, in the bishopric, and mentoring young men in scouting. He was most proud of his opportunity to serve as ward mission leader, especially helping young missionaries preach the gospel. David continued serving others even outside his callings. There was never a time when he was not seeking an opportunity to uplift someone else. It was common for him to spend his free time helping neighbors and friends with any need they had.
David loved sharing his favorite fishing hole, on the Snake River. He brought along many of his close friends and family, surprisingly his wife as well! Even as his health declined, he managed to find ways to go fishing.
David is preceded in death by his parents, James and Donna Corrigan. He is survived by his wife Denise, his children, Kirsten (Jake) Brown, James Corrigan, Robert Corrigan, Laura (Tyler) Rigby, Karyn (Sterling) Corrigan, and his grandchildren, Eli Dastrup, Madilyn Brown, and Mikah Brown.
