David Paul Hagn passed away on August 23, 2016, in Salt Lake City, Utah, at the age of 72. He was born on December 11, 1943, in Buffalo, NY, the youngest of six children of Andrew Hagn and Marie Lorang.
David grew up in Buffalo and always enjoyed both learning and teaching. He earned a Master’s Degree in Education from SUNY-Buffalo in 1975. He moved with his family to Denver, CO, in 1983. Wanting to be closer to his grown children he moved to Park City, Utah, in April 2015. David will be remembered for his pragmatism, work ethic, love of sports, and for being a student of life.
David’s proudest accomplishment was his four children: Jonathan, 40, Emily, 39, Lauren, 38 and Alex, 32. He is also survived by three grandchildren: Oliver, 12, Gwenyth, 10, and Leah, 22 months; and his siblings: Joseph, Ann, Thomas, and Gerard. David was preceded in death by his father, mother, and oldest brother, Robert.
The memorial service was held at 11:30 A.M. on September 2, 2016. David was laid to rest at 425 N, 1050 E in the Salt Lake City Cemetery.
