David F Larisch's Obituary
David F. Larisch, loving husband, father, brother and son, lost his long fought battle with metastatic melanoma in November 27, 2010 at home surrounded by his family.
David was born April 15, 1966 to Fred and Nora Larisch. He married Melanie Christiansen March 11, 1989 and they were blessed with three wonderful sons, Tyler, Jordan and Joshua. Dave was a loving and deeply caring husband and father. He was devoted to his boys and enjoyed nightly wrestling matches, watching movies, building projects, teasing and joking. He loved having s’mores while he shared his wisdom and thoughts with the boys out by the chimenea. His family meant the world to Dave.
Dave loved to entertain and boasted that he threw the best parties around. He loved to cook, especially out on his grill or smoker, and was famous for making any cut of meat absolutely delicious. He was fanatic about his yard work and took pride in the fact that his lawn was the best around. He was most happy when he was outdoors; ice fishing, Lake Powell, going to the beach, and eating lobster rolls at the pier in Maine were some of his favorites. He had a soft spot for all his nieces and nephews. Uncle Dave attended many tea parties, Barbie adventures, snow boarding escapades and boating trips and cherished every second. His home was always open to everyone and those who entered always left as family. David graduated from Brighton High School and spent his entire career at LAR Manufacturing. Dave brought the same hard-working principles to his professional life that he applied in his personal life. David formed many close relationships with his contacts. Dave held all those who had the fortunate experience of knowing and working with him close to his heart and considered them more than business associates. The company and his nation-wide clientele will sorely miss him.
David, Dave, Dad Uncle Dave… you will be missed by those who loved you. Dave leaves behind his wife, Melanie, his boys Tyler David, Jordan Dee, and Joshua Jay Larisch, his parents, Fred and Nora Larisch, Tina (Karl) Thorup, Dana (Mark) Stavey, Danny (Pam) Larisch, Ben (Tara) Larisch, Mike Larisch, Tim (Lynsey) Larisch, Andrew Larisch, numerous nieces and nephews and all his extended family to numerous to mention.
The family wishes to thank Dr. Kenneth Grossman and his staff, Huntsman Cancer Hospital, and Vista Care Hospice for their loving care of David.
Dave had a zest for life and always tried to focus on the positive. In keeping with Dave’s wishes, there will be a celebration of his life December 4th for close friends and family.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the David F. Larisch Donation Fund for his children’s education at any Mountain America Credit Union.
