David Allen Schaeffer's Obituary
David Allen Schaeffer age 56 of Dugway, Utah passed away Saturday, August 21, 2021 at the VA Salt Lake City Hospital.
David was born in Galax, Virginia on June 28, 1965 to Kenneth and Georgina Margetanski Schaeffer. He was preceded in death by his father, baby son Michael Adam Schaeffer and brother-in-law Jerry McCombs.
He proudly served his country in the US Air Force. He loved his children more than life itself and was an amazingly caring son, dad, brother and friend.
He is survived by his children, daughter Brianna Ashley of Nevada, daughter and son-in-law Allison and Arthur Evensen of Phoenix, AZ, daughter and significant other Lauren Schaeffer and Michael McMahon , son and significant other Johnny Schaeffer and Maddie Cox, daughter Haley Schaeffer and son Zach Schaeffer all of Utah, sister Ann Martin of King, NC, sister and significant other Sharon McCombs and Robert Richardson of Galax, VA, sister and brother-in-law Debra and Chris Diamond of Riverview, FL, brother and sister-in-law Kenneth and Kathy Schaeffer Jr. of Morehead City, NC, brother George Schaeffer of Galax, VA and several nieces and nephews. Dave was a special grandpa to his grandchildren, Adilyn, Ellie, Charlie and Brooklynn.
A memorial service will be held in the Vaughan Guynn chapel in Galax, Virginia on Saturday, August 28, 2021 at 2:00 PM with officiating. Military Rites will be conducted by the Grayson County VFW Post 7726.
