I worked for Dave when he ran what was then the Utah Department of Community and Economic Development. He was a good, honest man who listened. He and Jerry even came to my wife's and my wedding the a friend's backyard in Mountain Green, Utah. The world was a better place with him in it. Heaven is a better place with him there and I hope I'll chat with him again some pay.
Such an amazing life, and daughter Jozelyn was his steadfast champion. May his memory be a blessing.
Our family met Dave and Jerry Winder more than 16 years ago.
From the very beginning, we found common ground and took great joy in our conversations. With each meeting, we learned more fascinating stories about Dave’s life and grew into close, long-awaited friends with both Dave and Jerry.
We immigrated from Tajikistan to the USA 17 years ago. Despite our different cultural backgrounds, it was always easy and a true pleasure to communicate with Dave.
He was an exceptionally attentive, educated, and deeply interesting man. He always offered thoughtful advice and was ready to help whenever we reached out to him.
The cherished memory of Dave Winder will forever remain in our hearts, and in the hearts of our children, Arthur and Anastasiya.
We will deeply miss his presence and the warmth of his kind and generous spirit.
