Dawn Joy David's Obituary
Dawn Joy David, age 90, of Millcreek, Utah, passed away on March 15, 2025 peacefully at home.
Born on December 16, 1934 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Arthur and Bessie (Betty) Hall. Dawn graduated in 1953 from Wood River High School in Hailey, Idaho. After high school Dawn attended Snow College where she accepted a recruiting offer to work in Arlington, VA at the Pentagon.
As a teen Dawn worked many summers as a waitress at the Sun Valley ski resort. It was here at 16 that she served as a housekeeper in the summer residence of Earnest Hemingway. Dawn enjoyed working as a movie and TV extra from the ‘70’s to the ‘90’s. She appeared in films such as Dumb and Dumber and many episodes of Touched by an Angel.
Dawn was an avid bowler from the mid 1950’s until she could no longer bowl due to medical conditions.
She is survived by her 3 daughters: Vicki Snell; Elaine Lowry (Mike); Kristi Berryman, and her 2 sons; Alan Bergeron (Kristin); Arthur (Jeff) David (Tammy); 10 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and several great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Betty Hall and her sister, Julie Schultz.
A viewing will be held in her honor on Saturday March 22, 2025 from 10:30 am to 12:00 pm at Premier Funeral Services 67 East 8000 South Midvale, UT 84047. Following the event , a luncheon will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, specifically at the Riverton 1st Ward 12998 S. 1300 W. Riverton, Utah.
