Dean Joseph Berg's Obituary
Dean Joseph Berg, “The Juggling Joker,” beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend, passed peacefully in November 2024 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Born May 1, 1976 in West Valley City, Utah to Ray George and Elizabeth (Betty) Anne Berg, as their 4th child and Betty’s 5th child. They would have 4 more children together after the birth of Dean.
Dean is survived by his siblings, David (Shena), Sue (Jaimie), Daren, Debra (Nathan), Kathy, Alan (Sabreena) and Steven, as well as nephews Chase, Rossum, Benny, Straton, Phineas, Frances, and niece Zella. He was preceded in death by his parents and older half-sister Carolyn.
Dean had bright blond hair as a youngster and was the always smiling, happy child and adult. He was a very talented juggler and enjoyed performing and juggling for others. He was often found at Liberty Park and other places around Salt Lake City where he could often be seen smiling and juggling.
He will be forever missed and loved. He will be remembered, with many others who passed this year, on December 19, 2024 at the Homeless Persons’ Memorial Vigil at Pioneer Park in Salt Lake City at 5:30 pm. He will be buried with his grandma Berg (Louise) at Elysian Burial Gardens in Millcreek, Utah on the next day on December 20, 2024 at 11:00 am. Afterwards, his family will visit Liberty Park and then his mother’s grave site at Valley View Memorial Park in West Valley City. All are welcome to join.
