Dean S. Montgomery, our husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, uncle and friend to all returned to his Heavenly Father on October 26, 2016. He was born in Ogden, Utah, on June 18, 1931, to Leland and Ethel Montgomery, and spent his youth in and around Clinton, Utah. He graduated from Davis High School, and shortly after married Eldene Fowers in the Salt Lake Temple on November 21, 1949. In 1952 they moved to the Adrian/Nyssa, Oregon, area to farm and ranch. The family moved back to Utah in 1970, and resided in Hooper, Utah, until his death.
He was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and served in many capacities. He was second counselor in the bishopric in the Owyhee Ward in Oregon. He was a faithful and loving member of the Hooper Park Ward for the last many years.
He was the owner and operator of the Ranch House in Hooper, where he made many friends and loved serving them his special dishes. He loved working with the young people and left a lasting impression on many of how to be an honest, hard-working yet gentle person.
