Deanna (Dee) Ruth Hainsworth, Timm, MacLee's Obituary
Deanna (Dee) Ruth Hainsworth Timm MacLee
Born August 24, 1961, Riverton, Utah, to William Howard Hainsworth and Mary Ellen Wickham Hainsworth. Dee was born at home with the assistance of a midwife (Dee always joked about being weighed by a fish scale so no one knew her actual birth weight).
As a young girl, Dee moved quite a bit, living in Philipsburg, MT; Butte, MT; Montpelier, ID; and then eventually moving back to the Salt Lake Valley.
She attended South High School and later achieved her GED and then her high school diploma. She attended SLCC and later Bryman’s Medical Technical College.
Dee married Kyle Timm in 1981 and later divorced in 1994 . She then married Jason Ward MacLee on December 31, 1994. They had just celebrated 30 years of marriage on 12/31/2025 and wished each other another 30 more to go.
Dee was a very talented, bright, energetic soul that always was willing to help any of those that needed it. She really wore her heart on her sleeve. She always was there with any of the answers to make the rest of us feel better. She was a very skilled seamstress, making dresses for the nieces, shirts, and pants for all if they wanted, blankets, and many other projects as requested. She also loved to crochet and read in her spare time. The thing Dee loved the most was being around those that loved her and she could share her happiness with! She loved her time with the great niece and nephews as she was known to them as “Guma”, being their honorary grandmother. They were her pride and joy, and she loved them very much!
Dee was a very dedicated worker. There were never any challenges that she would not tackle.
She prided herself in helping others, making a difference in the community wherever she could. She spent the last 25 years with the State Office of Rehabilitation as an administrative assistant, where she was called on by many of her co-workers if they needed to know anything (especially when it came to all the different policies and procedures). Dee truly was the “Office Mom”. She had many friends that she worked with and she really was genuine with her feelings for anyone. She truly will be greatly missed by all that had the blessing of knowing her. Her laughter brought great vibes as well as her smile. She was beautiful through and through.
