Debbie Jean Janice Arguello's Obituary
Debbie Jean Janice Arguello
April 25, 1962 - March 26th, 2020
Debbie was born in Ogden, Utah on April 25th 1962. She was the daughter of Jerry and Lucy Arguello. She was the sibling of two brothers (Jerry and Tommy), and seven sisters (Bonnie, Margie, Lucy, Connie, Serena, Jerina and baby Lucy). She was raised in Ogden, where she attended Ben Lomond High School, having graduated in 1980.
Her life allowed her to travel the United States, having lived in California, South Carolina, New Mexico, and ultimately returning to her hometown in Utah.
Through the years, she enjoyed many professions (mostly helping people). She began her working life as a caregiver at Wide Horizons in Ogden, caring for the elderly and disabled. During her travels she enjoyed the profession of a Security Guard (proudly mastering a 9mm Ruger). She worked in Production ultimately leading her to working at Autoliv (for 25+ years) in Ogden Utah. She was a hard worker, and she prided herself on her work ethic. Though we would have to say, she was an even better coworker/friend, being a beacon of love and support to anyone who needed one of her famous Big Hugs or a shoulder to cry on. It was through this connection to her coworkers that led her to befriend her future son in law, Cody Espinoza. She introduced Cody to her daughter Regina, always SO proud that she "picked her own son in law". Debbie raised three amazing children; Regina Vanessa Espinoza, Anthony Lynn Kish and Christopher Allen Kish, for which she dedicated her entire life to their happiness and well being (ultimately putting their every need before hers). However much she loved her children, her heart and soul were ultimately and completely for her two beautiful granddaughters; Olivia Lee Espinoza and Ellie Jean Espinoza. Her favorite role in life was "Nana". Debbie's legacy is heart and soul, having loved beyond what any one person should be capable of. She truly was a Mother, in every sense of the word. She was the embodiment of selflessness, giving more than she could offer. She would give you her last dollar, even if it meant her going without. No matter what life threw her way, she succeeded and came out on top. She saw the silver lining in every situation, never letting life get her down. She was your 1st phone call in any emergency, she was the shoulder you could cry on, she was the friend you could rely on. She was always there. The world did not deserve her beautiful soul, however those of us who were lucky enough to have her in our lives knew that we were the blessed ones.
"Mom... there aren't enough words to express who you are and what you meant to this world. I could write a novel, and about ten more. You were my healer when I was sick, my light when it was dark, my universe when I couldn't find my way. You were my "biggest fan", though I would have to say that I was always yours first. I cannot imagine this life without you, but you taught me everything that I know and somehow I know those teachings will guide me. I will live every day in your honor and your legacy. I have some big shoes to fill, but I know you'll be guiding me the entire way. I love you immensely, and I will miss you beyond measure. My mom, my best friend, my hero.... I love you"
She is preceded in death by her father (Jerry Arguello), her older sister (Lucy Arguello) , her nephew (T.J Arguello), her grandmother (Sophie Dominguez) and her beloved godmother (Louise Dominguez).
