Debbie Rhodes' Obituary
Debbie Rhodes at the age of 50 passed away from Cirrhosis of the liver Sunday, December 19, 2021 surrounded by loved ones. Debbie was the oldest child born to Edwin Ray and Ranee Davis Rhodes on June 13, 1971.
Debbie loved spending time with her kids, family, friends, and her dog Toby. She enjoyed traveling, highlights included swimming with dolphins, dolphin/whale watching boat tours, feeding and petting bears, and many other adventures. Debbie has a love of animals; her favorite is dolphins and the many pets she cared for over the years. Her hobbies included camping, skiing, hiking, and doing various crafts that she shared with others. Her favorite artists are Prince and Pink, she enjoyed being able to see Pink in concert. Even though Debbie grew up in a house where we made many yummy treats and goodies, she did not like to cook, and was capable of making macaroni and cheese inedible. Debbie was a caring and giving person, this reflected in the many jobs she worked throughout her life, always willing to help. She did not care what others thought of her and lived her life to the fullest. Debbie, you left this life too soon. You are loved by many and we will all miss you! Until we meet again.
Debbie is survived by her sisters Yvonne Davis, Terrie Rhodes, and Mechelle (James) Mounts. Her children Tyler Gunn Hart and Sienna Jade Gunn. Many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and her dog Toby.
Debbie is preceded in death by her parents Edwin and Ranee Rhodes. Grandparents, some extended family and her favorite cat Munch.
Our family would like to thank all of the medical staff at the University of Utah and Davis hospitals for the help that they gave Debbie throughout the last few months. She enjoyed working at TruHearing and we would like to thank her employer and co-workers for their help, including words of encouragement, she loved working for a great company. Thank you to all of the family and friends for your love, prayers and help.
