Deborah Kay Cost's Obituary
Deborah Kay Cost, 70, lost her battle with cancer and passed away at Life Care Center of Salt Lake City, UT on June 2, 2022. She was born July 22, 1951 in Jackson, MS and spent her early life in Mississippi and Louisiana before moving to Salt Lake City in the 1970s. She was preceded in death by parents Cecil and Grace Cost and is survived by a brother and sister-in-law, Tim and Linda Cost of Mesquite, NV.
Deborah was a creative, free spirit and enjoyed music, art, nature, and traveling. She was a talented musician, with a bachelors’ degree in piano from Loyola University New Orleans and a masters’ degree in music composition from LSU Baton Rouge. She had for many years worked as a Health Insurance professional in the Salt Lake City area.
Deborah never met a stranger and was a truly caring person who loved helping people with Medicare Supplement plans. Each client became a friend and all appreciated her dedication and attention to their needs. She will be missed by all who knew her, and her beloved kitty Neo.
A Celebration of Life event has been scheduled for this Sunday afternoon, June 12, 3 pm to 5 pm, at the Hotel Monaco, 15 West 200 South, Salt Lake City. Deborah’s friends are invited to attend this informal gathering and sharing of memories. Memorials can be made to any charity of choice.
