Deborah Gay Quintero's Obituary
Deborah "Debbie" Gay Arnold Quintero passed away on April 17, 2026, at the age of 71. Born on February 5, 1955, to Robert Arnold Sr. and Raggie Arnold, Debbie was one of a kind — and anyone who ever spent five minutes with her knew it.
Debbie called Van Nuys, California home before relocating to Palmdale in the 1990s, and it was there she continued building a life full of love and laughter. She met and married the love of her life, Miguel Quintero, in 1980, and poured herself into her role as a wife and mother with everything she had. Her home was always full — full of noise, full of love, and full of Debbie's infectious personality.
When she wasn't busy taking care of her family, you could find her crocheting, putting together scrapbooks that she filled with care and creativity, or having a blast at the slots. She knew how to have a good time and never apologized for it.
Debbie was quick witted, fearless, and refreshingly straight to the point. She told you exactly how she felt — no sugar coating, no holding back — and that was one of the things people loved most about her. You always knew where you stood with Debbie, and there was something really beautiful about that.
Debbie had a stroke in her later years and spent her final years at South Davis Community Hospital in Bountiful, Utah, where an incredible care team looked after her with kindness and dedication. But even then, Debbie being Debbie — her spirit never dimmed. She kept dreaming big, kept making people laugh, and never stopped being the woman everyone loved.
That's just who she was. Spunky, funny, loving, and completely unforgettable.
She is survived by her husband, Miguel Quintero; her son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Alicia Quintero; her grandchildren, Alex Quintero, Anthony Quintero, and Myra Quintero; her sister, Sheila Torres and her husband Gene Lahaie; her brother, Robert Arnold and his wife Nancy Arnold; and her nieces and nephews, Eric Torres, Yolanda Torres, Jess Arnold, Sarah Arnold, and Bobby Arnold. She was preceded in death by her beloved grandchild, Michael Quintero.
We love you, Deb.
