Debra Griggs' Obituary
On Monday May the second this world lost a beautiful soul, a devoted wife, and a loving mother, Debraa Martinez Griggs.
Debraa was born into this world on August the seventh, 1961. She was always full of life, often the loudest, craziest person in the room. From this moment on her bright presence will be painfully missed at every family get together.
Debra has three amazing boys from her first marriage, Donnie, Denis, and Danny, whom she loved with all of her heart. She would often share beloved memories she had with her boys and although they were far from her, she was always proud of them for the men they had become.
On July the fifth, 2008 she married her soulmate Andrew Griggs. They were then sealed for all time and eternity April the sixteenth of this year. Everyone who was ever around Debbra and Andrew could sense the intense love and devotion that they had for one another. Debbra also welcomed into her loving arms Andrews son Ashler, she became more than just a mother to him, she was his friend, his confidant, and his partner in crime. The love in Debraa's heart was seemingly endless as she later invited her "Little Lord Ryan" into her life and home.
In many cultures the elephant represents power, determination, and loyalty so it makes perfect sense that the elephant would be Debbras favorite figurine to collect. The elephant was truly her spirit animal, Debbra was one of the most stubborn, frustratingly determined people you could care to meet, but that determination translated to an amazingly tough woman. You could always count on her to be strong and loyal, especially when it came to her family.
Debbra is survived by her husband Andrew, his son Ashler, and her three boys Donnie (Wife Carly and their two sons Aydin and Rylee), Danny (wife Erin and son Eli), and Denis (wife Stephanie and their daughter Hailey). She had a large loving family that included her mother, Maria, her father, Tino, and siblings JoAnn (Kent), Kathy (Nate), Emma, Tino (Trudy), Ronnie, Roxann, and Kim (Lionel). She is also survived by more nieces and nephews to count.
Funeral services will be held Friday May the sixth at noon at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints located on 4145 south, 3920 west. A short viewing will be held directly before the services from 9:45 am – 11:45 am
