Delbert Frank Smith's Obituary
Delbert Frank Smith, age 81, passed away peacefully of natural causes November 10, 2022. Delbert was born in a log cabin on June 15, 1941 in Randolph, Utah. Born premature and weighing only 3 lbs, he was the 4th of 5 children. His growing up years in the "greatest place on earth," were spent farming, fishing, hunting, and playing basketball. Delbert excelled at math and attended Stevens-Henager College to become a bookkeeper, a career he kept until retiring at age 75. Delbert loved gardening, western movies, black licorice, and a good joke. He served 30 years as ward/stake clerk and was known as a man of integrity, faith, and kindness. Delbert and his lifelong sweetheart, Carol, were married in the Salt Lake City temple. They lived in Logan for over 50 years before moving to Ephraim, Utah to be near family. A devoted father, husband, brother, uncle, and grandpa, he was loved deeply and cherished by his family. Delbert is survived by his son Brent (Marcie), daughter Gretchan (Joel), and 3 grandchildren.
A viewing will be held Tuesday, November 15th, 10:00 - 11:00 am at Premier Funeral Services, 67 E. 8000 So, Midvale, Utah with graveside services following at 11:30 am at Elysian Burial Gardens, 1075 E. 4580 So. Millcreek, Utah,
