Dellane was a wonderful man with a warm heart and amazing musical talent. We were lucky to live in his home for a brief time and he and Diane were always so kind and friendly to us. We are so sorry to hear of his passing, but we know that he is in a better place with his loved ones on the other side. Our condolences and love are with his family. God bless you all!

Me, my mom, and my sister, at your house, singing while Dellane played the piano and calling us the Ames sisters! I don’t know why that sticks in my head, but it does! He will be missed, prayers be with his family!

He shared a luncheon dinner table with my dad at the memory care facility. So I got to know him and his wife very well. They were so good to my dad as my dad was in bad shape and couldn’t speak very loudly and couldn’t hear anybody. He would always make sure my dad drink water and would even pour it for him most days. Diana is the sweetest lady I’ve ever met and I feel so bad for her and sorry for her loss. I remember telling her when my dad passed and we both got teary-eyed as I knocked on her door to give them some of my dad‘s items that he no longer needed. He was great and my condolences and love are with Diane.

I only met Dellane Jessop a few times, but his warmth and pride in his family were always evident. Whenever his daughter DelAnne and Mel performed at the Salt Lake Center for Spiritual Living, he and his wife, Diane, were there to support them, his face always lit up with a big smile. His love and pride for them was so obvious.
I later learned he was an incredibly talented pianist. At a fundraiser DelAnne organized years ago, he arrived in a tuxedo and played classical pieces by composers like Beethoven and Mozart on a grand piano. His performance was one of the most impressive I’ve seen in person.
Years later, I attended a summer concert in West Jordan on a whim. To my surprise, there was Dellane, conducting the orchestra—another testament to his deep musical talent and passion.
I had the opportunity to play in the West Jordan city band with him, such an honor. Hugs and love to Mel and family.
